The Association of Polish Fruit - Growers
1. Information about the Association
Genesis. At the suggestion of fruit - growers from Grójec region, in May 1999, the Association of the Mazovian Fruit - Growers with its headquarter in Grójec, was estalished.
The Association is an no - politycal, voluntary, non-profit, self - governing organization which acts on behalf of fruit - growers.
Two years ago, the name of the Association was changed. The new name is: The Association of Polish Fruit-Growers.
2. Aims and taska of the Association
- Representing fruit – growers’ needs and interests
- Advising in the field of fruit production
- Making notes on fruit production
- Pronouncing its opinion on subjects concerning the fruit-growers
- Organizing meetings and self – helping among the members of the Association
The Association will realize its aims through:
- Cooperation with the government administration and self – government administration
- Collecting, consolidating and generalizing the fruit – growing knowledge
- Organizing exhibitions, lectures and cultural meetings
- Protection of the fruit – growers’ interests
- Cooperation with its counterparts in Poland and abroad
- Organizing different kinds od self - helping
The structure of organization
The General Management governs the Association and represents it outside.
The local branches are being created in order to improve the organization.
Usually each branch of the Association acts in one community. The branches have their own authority and are responsible for realization the Association’s aims on the community level. Currently the Association includes 40 local branches in the largest fruit – growing regions of Poland with number of members about 5000.
